Reflection paragraph on progress

When i was doing my research blog i felt like the topic i was going to do was gonna be very easy. It was sorta easy because the topic i had its like a everyday news in our life today so that was easy in my favor. I enjoyed that there was a tons of information about this topic. Some things i disliked was some information was the same and nothing different. If i could do this research blog again i would not do it any different because i think i had all the information needed to make this blog good.

reflection paragraph on findings

My topic was really interesting about teens drinking and driving and the problems that could cause. These topic had its good things to its like it taught me some things i did not know. Some question i had where like why do teens drink at a early age and some more. All my questions got answer at least more than one time. Right now i feel that this topic is really helpful in many ways so i feel good about this topic. This topic can help me later on in life.

paragraph 3

What makes teens want to drink?  This is another question i had. There are alot of things that makes teens want to drink, some of them are thier parents or friends. When a teens see the people around them drinking makes them wonder about them drinking as well. This has been proven in some researchs made by people to prove that alot of teens drink because they see thier parents or friends drinking.

Environmental factors, such as the influence of parents and peers, also play a role in alcohol use (44). For example, parents who drink more and who view drinking favorably may have children who drink more, and an adolescent girl with an older or adult boyfriend is more likely to use alcohol and other drugs and to engage in delinquent behaviors (45).

paragraph 2

what is the possible time they have to serve in jail if they have an accident?

Well from what i research  i didnt find nothing about the time in jail teens could serve if they where drinking and driving. You would serve some time but you could get bailed out. There is one thing i found that you get done when you get caught drinking and driving a DUI. DUI is something that tells you how much you been drinking or how much liquor is in your blood system. The average cost of a first DUI can range form $5,000 to $20,000.  This is not counting the potential loss of a job, the stress on relationships due to relying on friends and family to chauffer you around, or the stigma of having a DUI on your record.  At approximatelly $2.30 per day, the Intoxalock® provides a piece of mind that is invaluable. And this tells you how much a DUI can cost you.

paragraph 1

Why do teenagers do this to them self knowing it bad?

When I started my research topic this is one of my question I had. This question is a simple one but with alot of answers. I found the answer to my question While do teenagers do this to them self knowing it is bad? Environmental factors, such as the influence of parents and peers, also play a role in alcohol use (44). For example, parents who drink more and who view drinking favorably may have children who drink more. Teens do it to themselves because they see other people doing it and to most of them it does matter whether it's good or bad for them. Well my question was answer thanks to this website.

Quote paraphrase and citation 5

QUOTE:    Environmental factors, such as the influence of parents and peers, also play a role in alcohol use (44). If teens see their parents or friends drinking teens are  gonna want to try to do the same thing. Parents are their examples to their kids so this is one reason teens are more willing to try drinking

Quote paraphrase and citation. 4

Other research shows that the younger children and adolescents are when they start to drink, the more likely they will be to engage in behaviors that harm themselves and others. For example, frequent binge drinkers (nearly 1 million high school students nationwide) are more likely to engage in risky behaviors, including using other drugs such as marijuana and cocaine, having sex with six or more partners, and earning grades that are mostly Ds and Fs in school (10). B

This research tell us that the teens that gets involve in drinking they are most likely to get involve in other bad behavior. These can include doing drugs.

Quote paraphrase and citation 3

Research also shows that many adolescents start to drink at very young ages. In 2003, the average age of first use of alcohol was about 14, compared to about 17 1/2 in 1965 (7,8). People who reported starting to drink before the age of 15 were four times more likely to also report meeting the criteria for alcohol dependence at some point in their lives (9). In fact, new research shows that the serious drinking problems (including what is called alcoholism) typically associated with middle age actually begin to appear much earlier, during young adulthood and even adolescence.

This shows us that drinking for teens starts in a very young age each and every time the age gets younger. The health problems increase as well.

What i want to know about my topic

Well their are some things i want to know about my topic and these are,
How do mostly of these teens get thier alcohol?

What is the possible time they have to serve in jail if they have an accident and kill someone,?

While do teenagers do this to them self knowing it is bad?

What make teens want to drink ?

What i already know about my topic.

Well my topic seems pretty easy because these topic is like everyday news. i know if a teens get caught drinking and has an accident he or she can serve some time in jail and get charged with DUI and maybe get their license suspended . Some thing can go worse if you drinking and driving you can get in a accident and maybe kill yourself  theirs alots of teens dyeing for this cause

The story Behind my Topic chioce

The topic i chosen is about teenager drinking and driving and the law that are there for them if they make or commit a accident . This to be sounded interesting because i am also a teen and i know what teens like and what teens do. The things is teens think they cant get in trouble if they drink and drive which is wrong. There are laws that make teens get punished for committing these types of felonys.
